1. What’s your role, and what inspires you most about your work in event marketing?

I’m a Team Leader in International Conference Management at a company that develops life-changing hearing implant technologies. Based in Austria, I lead a team that organizes international conferences and workshops for healthcare professionals all over the world. What inspires me most is knowing that our events help connect people with innovations that truly improve lives. I love the mix of international travel, cultural diversity, strategic planning, creativity, and human connection – and the fact that every event we deliver has a real-world impact. I’ve been with the company for more than 15 years.

2. What challenge are you currently facing that others in EVA might relate to?

Resilience, flexibility and adaptability are constant themes in our work. The pace of change is accelerating – processes are evolving, new tools are coming up, expectations are rising, and the environment is becoming more complex. On top of that, frequent travel is becoming more demanding, both physically and mentally. As a team, we’re learning to stay flexible, support each bther, and find stability in the midst of change.

3. What’s one strategy or tool that has helped you create impactful events lately?

Recently, I’ve been focusing more on audience journey mapping as a strategic tool. By visualizing the attendee experience from pre-event to post-event, we’ve been able to design more personalized and engaging touchpoints. We also tried out creative formats and handson formats as well as new social event formats. Combined with the use of AI tools to optimize participant management and analytics, each event becomes smarter and more impactful than the last.

4. How do you see the role of women evolving in the events industry?

Women have always been the backbone of event execution, but I’m seeing a powerful shift toward more women stepping into strategic and leadership roles. There’s a growing recognition that our voices bring unique perspectives to the table – especially in areas like empathy-driven design, stakeholder alignment, and inclusive storytelling. I believe the future of events will be shaped by women who lead with both vision and heart.

5. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to other EVAliers around the world?

Stay rooted in your purpose – and trust your voice.

As women leaders in a fast-moving, high-pressure industry, we’re often balancing expectations, emotions, and excellence all at once. It’s easy to lose sight of the why. But when you reconnect with the deeper impact of your work-whether it’s creating space for others, driving innovation, or building community – you lead with clarity, courage, and authenticity.

Resilience is collective.

You don’t have to do it all alone. Lean into your network, ask for support, and lift other women as you rise. That’s how we create lasting change – together.

Never give up – your work might motivate other women to grow.

Julia’s journey reminds us that great events start with purpose and people. Her leadership reflects the strength of staying grounded, embracing change, and building community: values that continue to elevate the role of women in the events industry.
