EVA Alliance participated in this year’s Bea World Festival as one of its association partners, supporting the event and contributing to its programme and activities.
A key part of our involvement was the strong presence of EVA members on the BEA Awards jury. Jodi Egan represented EVA Alliance on the panel, joining long-time members Tata Burduli, Geeske Doeve, Stephanie Dubois, Ulrike Tondorf, and Stefanie Winter, who have contributed their expertise to the awards for several years.
Their professionalism and experience were evident throughout the evaluation process. The projects submitted this year were particularly impressive – creative, ambitious, and technically strong – making the jury’s work both demanding and inspiring. Our members played an important role in assessing these entries with fairness, depth and insight, and we are proud of the contribution they made to celebrating excellence in live communication.
EVA Alliance also contributed to the festival’s content programme. On 22 November, our co-founder Angeles Moreno hosted the roundtable “The Future of Event Design Is Intelligent: How AI and Data Redefine Experience, Impact and Success.” The session explored a variety of perspectives, from bold future scenarios – such as AI reaching autonomy or shifts in economic models – to more practical reflections on what AI already delivers for events today: personalisation, efficiency, and actionable insights. The discussion brought together optimism, realism, and thoughtful debate, with one shared takeaway: rapid change is approaching, and understanding it is essential for our industry.

Through our partnership, our jury representation, and our participation in the programme, EVA Alliance was pleased to contribute to one of the most important international gatherings for the events and live communication sector.
