Some experiences go beyond itineraries and schedules, they become stories of connection, discovery, and inspiration. The EVA Alliance FAM trip to Slovenia was one of those rare moments. From the vineyards of Goriška Brda to intimate venues and hidden gems, Slovenia revealed itself as a destination where culture, hospitality, and opportunity come together. Yet the true highlight was not the backdrop itself, but the women who shared it: six leaders who came together not just to explore a country, but to connect, reflect, and inspire one another.
Organized in collaboration with Conventa Crossover, Slovenian Tourist Board and Slovenian Convention Bureau, the journey was designed to showcase Slovenia’s event potential. But what made it unforgettable was everything that happened in between: the stories exchanged over meals, the laughter echoing through historic streets, and the realization that no matter the country or sector, women leaders in events often face the same challenges and, when united, can find solutions together. What began as a professional exploration quickly grew into something deeper: a collective reminder of the power of alliance, authenticity, and shared experience.
A Meeting of Minds and Hearts
For many, the most memorable part of the trip was the connection forged within the group.
“I am deeply grateful for the time spent in the company of such remarkable women. This meeting proved that even though we work in different industries and come from different countries, we share the same challenges. It’s amazing how much unites us!” – Oktawia Niemczuk
From conversations on leadership and industry challenges to laughter over shared experiences, the days in Slovenia became a space for honest dialogue and mutual support.
Discovering Slovenia
The trip also revealed the rich event potential of Slovenia, a country that exceeded expectations with its culture, hospitality, and unique venues.
“Slovenia is beautiful, even more so than I ever could’ve imagined! We explored venues big and small, boutique hotels and private dining spaces. It’s full of culture, high-quality food and wine, and lots of potential. And the group of the ladies I was with made it even more special.” – Pippa O’Sullivan
“The EVA FAM trip was rewarding, offering a firsthand experience of Slovenia’s rich culture, venues, and hospitality. From the warmth of our hosts to the showcase of unique event spaces, the trip highlighted how destinations can authentically blend business opportunities with cultural discovery.” – Ruth Ann Felismino
From the vineyards of Goriška Brda to Ljubljana’s charm, the country proved to be a perfect stage for both professional and personal inspiration.

The Power of Alliance
What made the trip truly meaningful was the EVA spirit: empowerment, inclusivity, and growth in action.
“For me, the FAM trip to Slovenia was a living expression of what we envisioned when creating EVA Alliance. Our pillars – empowerment, growth, diversity, professionalism, and inclusivity – were not abstract values but tangible experiences. I witnessed how women leaders could open up, share strategic insights, and inspire one another in an atmosphere of authenticity and respect.” – Angeles Moreno, Founder of EVA Alliance
Other participants echoed this sentiment:
“Being part of EVA Alliance is pure magic – thanks to the incredible Angeles Moreno. Meeting in person, talking openly, realizing that we all face similar challenges with different approaches, that’s the true gift.” – Mojca Petrovic
“The few days we spent together in Slovenia were both inspiring and refreshing. The setting was stunning, the food delicious, but it was the connection within the group – the honest conversations, shared challenges, and all the laughter – that made the experience truly memorable.” – Emma Barry
More than a Trip
The FAM trip to Slovenia was not just about discovering a destination. It was about discovering each other, leaders who, across industries and borders, found common ground, shared inspiration, and built bonds that will continue to strengthen EVA Alliance.
It was a vivid reminder that when women leaders come together beyond the boardroom, they amplify not only their own voices but also their capacity to transform the future of events.
